Wine Tasting

Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm – $35

Spaces are limited, so snap up your place now and we’ll spoil you with good snacks and great wine. We bring in the experts to tell you a bit about the wine, how it’s made, and what makes it special, all while snacking on delicious cheese, olives and charcuterie.

Meet the Winemaker – 13th August

We are very excited to get in the room with Hayden Johnston, from Tarras Vineyards in Central Otago, NZ – a region renowned for it’s Pinot Noir. Hayden has been organically managing his vineyard since 2002, producing some absolutely iconic wines. Come and chat to him about the highs and lows of producing one of the most varied and expressive grapes on the planet.

Meet the Winemaker – 20th August

Jamie Manson – head honcho at Claymore Wines – will be our very special guest this week as he runs us through their portfolio of extraordinarily fun wines, each named for one of Jamie’s favourite songs. You may have seen Birdhouse in My Soul, Blackbird, Bittersweet Symphony and London Calling in our shop. But wait – there’s more! Come and find out what makes a winemaker tick – enjoying generous splashes of wine and cheese and connection with other wine-loving individuals.

Lessons in Chardonnay – 27th August

Shout out to Eleanora via Instagram for the inspo for this week’s wine tasting. Think you know Chardonnay? Adamant you know what you like and don’t like? Let us try and change your mind in this Chardy-focused wine tasting where we crack open an un-oaked French Chardonnay you would swear was a Sauvignon Blanc, a buttery American, an oaky Aussie and more. Hosted by Gina, who is secretly allergic to Chardonnay (look out for the tell-tale red nose) but drinks it and loves it anyway.
