McNamee Brothers

The McNamee Brothers are Stephen and Matt, joined by close friend and multi-instrumentalist Jack. Together, they bring a rich, energetic blend of Irish folk and contemporary songs to audiences across Sydney and beyond.

Stephen and Matt grew up in a home filled with music. From an early age, the sounds of violin, guitar, piano and harmonica echoed through the house, with family favourites like The Fureys on constant rotation. Those early influences still shape the heart and soul of their music today.

Now based in Sydney, the trio perform regularly at venues from the inner city to Newcastle, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere where audiences are invited to sing along, share a story, and be part of the music. Whether it’s a lively pub session or a special event, their performances are built on connection, tradition, and a genuine love of playing together
