Live music, a Christmas Feast, and a prize for the best-dressed; our annual Christmas in July is not to be missed. Join us on Friday 24th for the big shebang, or Sunday 26th for our special Family Edition (with face-painting from 2pm-3pm and pass-the-parcel at 3pm

East Wing Wine Tastings

Every Thursday at 6pm we crack open a bunch of extraordinary wines linked by provenance, varietal, colour or just because we feel like it (and we ALWAYS feel like it). Then we chat about the wines over platters of delicious cheese & charcuterie. Love the space? Hire it out for your next function!

$15 Weekday Lunch Specials

Our bistro is open daily from 11:30-3:00pm for lunch, and from 5:00pm-8:30pm for dinner. Our Sunday roasts & Irish meals are legendary, and you will not get better value for money than our $15 weekday lunch specials.

Irish Wednesdays

Every day is a good day for a Guinness or Kilkenny at Southend but Wednesdays are particularly good craic. $15 Irish meals all day, and Irish musicians playing all your favourite singalongs from 7pm-10pm. If you’re not making new friends on Wednesdays, you’re not trying hard enough

Thursday Quiz

Join our host (and Licensee) Chris for a raucous round of trivia every Thursday from 7pm. First prize is a $100 bar voucher, the consolation prize is a limited edition Southend Umbrella, and our Heads-and-Tails round jackpots by $50 each week until someone picks the Ace of Hearts.

Friday Night Live

Friday nights go off at Southend. Live music every week with a great rotation of visiting Irish musicians. Our bistro pumps out $18 rump steaks (300g of juicy Black Angus with chips & salad and your choice of sauce), and our staff pour arguably the best pints of Guinness & Kilkenny in Sydney.

Sunday Sessions

Sunday Roasts are an institution at Southend and sell out fast. Juicy meat, yorkshire pudding, roast veg, steamed greens, and lashings of gravy. Kids eat free (conditions apply) on Sundays, and we take bookings up until 3pm. Walk-ins only after 3pm. Live music starts between 4pm and 5pm and more often than not ends with impromptu dancing and singalongs.

Get into the left lane and take the next turn left onto Beauchamp Road. Follow Beauchamp Road all the way along. You will drive over Bunnarong Road, then over Anzac Parade, until eventually you come to a roundabout. Turn left here onto Malabar Road, and then right at the 7-eleven onto Meagher Avenue. At peak hour taxi drivers may opt to go a different way, taking General Holmes drive onto James Joyce Drive, then cutting across the railway lines to Wentworth Avenue, past the Westfield Shopping Centre, right onto Bunnerong Road, left onto Fitzgerald Avenue, and following it down towards Maroubra Beach before turning right onto Broome Street and right onto Curtin Crescent. Drive 20m up the road and you’ll see our carpark on the right.
